- The property. Its address, approximate size and anything unusual about the home. If you’re arranging access from out of town, mention that too.
- The purpose. An estate, probate, divorce, an IRS matter or another decision. Include any valuation date or instructions your attorney or adviser has given you.
- The deadline. The date you need the report and any filing date. If you don’t have a deadline yet, just say so.
Before arranging the appraisal, ask us to confirm the scope, fee and delivery estimate in writing.
